EdwinGmax The GMax Factor

GMax? …well as Gerry told it “Cheryl and I were in Shanghai with a prospective client and his name was Max and we were trying to sell a new kiosk concept to him and it came to us that one way was to name it after him because he was a kinda tech savvy guy and we genuinely liked the design.”

Eventually the company did select the kiosk and the rest is history as our joint venture company Xa corporation has gone on to start the manufacture of up to 10,000 GMaxes in the next 3 years…and that is good for Sprocket!

Lecture Teaching by design

The Shanghai College of Art and Design is a prestigious centre for multiple design disciplines in China and Gerry Mussett was recently invited invited to present a lecture on interactive technology to final year Multimedia and animation students at the invitation of the Director.

The College has some truly spectacular facilities including full size 3D animation labs and interactive special experimentation rooms that enable some very sophisticated student works, not to mention the contributions of the highly talented lecturers.

Xa Corporation is a proud supporter and sponsor of the College and has entered into a technology partnership to assist in the development of interactive multimedia for deployment on touch screen systems.

Gerry Mussett undertook yet another pilgrimage to Shanghai and it’s environs in October to meet with his fellow Xa directors and staff and coincidentally to watch his beloved Demons play the Lions at Jiangwan stadium.

It was a truly fun day at the footy with the Xa management and staff all bellowing out their support for the Demons (of course) even though the subtleties of the colourful language of their CEO was lost somewhere in translation.
