Having enhanced the stand with a new banner and inserted foam insoles in our shoes, we were ready to take on MacWorld Day 2 head on! Another busy day was in store with many more high quality LaunchPad enquiries including multiple order requests from companies outside central America and also local reseller interest.

Sprocket is winging its way to Macworld in San Francisco to release the new LaunchPad on January 26.
Macworld is the perfect place to premiere our new innovation in public kiosk design.  Launchpad is all about cool design, functional flexibility and ease of use. It’s sleek yet rugged injection moulded housing can be mounted to your choice of stand using quality steel and aluminium fittings in either a portrait or landscape orientation.
If you are on the westcoast of the US of A this week you can find us at the the show at stand 552; as close as we can get to the cafe!

GMax? …well as Gerry told it “Cheryl and I were in Shanghai with a prospective client and his name was Max and we were trying to sell a new kiosk concept to him and it came to us that one way was to name it after him because he was a kinda tech savvy guy and we genuinely liked the design.”

Eventually the company did select the kiosk and the rest is history as our joint venture company Xa corporation has gone on to start the manufacture of up to 10,000 GMaxes in the next 3 years…and that is good for Sprocket!

We are excited to announce the appointment of Cheryl Fraser as Sprocket’s brand spanking new General Manager. Unbelievably Cheryl has been with us for 14 years and grew from a shy junior industrial designer into Sprocket’s leader of design style and innovation in her position as Design Director.

Cheryl’s energy, drive and passion for all things creative has been behind the success of Sprocket and it’s multiple offshoots. With her clear headed commercial savvy and determination for the company’s success it was obvious that the next step in her stellar career is taking a greater control of the business side of Sprocket.

Having said that we all know that there will be no rest for any of the design team as Cheryl will still be there driving us to design perfection. Go Chez!
